The choices are endless, be it cold or warm, liquid or solid, savory or sweet, or nothing at all. Since being diagnosed with FM breakfast is not only mandatory for me but also a way to start my day in a calmer manner. It\u2019s a chance for me to be nice to my stomach first thing in the morning, so that it won\u2019t be too upset later in the day if something wrong comes along. Whenever I skip breakfast entirely the day is basically ruined. Then all I think about is \u2018how on earth will I get something quick to eat on the way to wherever I\u2019m headed. Which is, as you probably know yourselves, rather impossible. So breakfast has become a very important part of my morning routine.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Options being somewhat limited for us, it\u2019s easy to stick with the one meal we like that doesn\u2019t upset our stomachs. As I am constantly freezing I\u2019m in love with my bowl of warm oatmeal, which I discovered last fall. It tastes good and warms me from the inside. However, now and then, I do crave something different. I\u2019ve experienced that my stomach and thus my digestion tends to get lazy, when I feed it the same thing everyday.<\/p>\n<p>So I went into the kitchen one morning last week and finally put my newly acquired blender to use. I gathered all my favorite foods and came up with one heck of a fructose friendly\u00a0smoothie. Even though I actually prefer to chew on something solid, it was hard not to fall in love with this creation. It is a true blend of flavors (no pun intended). The avocado gives it a silky touch, while the turmeric adds a hearty taste and ginger and cinnamon fire up digestion adding warmth and spice. The seeds give it a subtle crunch and add valuable seed oil. The tiger nut and banana add natural sweetness before the bee pollen tops it off with a taste of summer. Still not convinced? Do your body a favor and make them staples in your pantry. Nettle seeds for example are strengthening, great for hair and nails, also helping with chronic exhaustion and adrenal fatigue. Bee pollen act as a natural antihistamine (more <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mynewroots.org\/site\/2011\/05\/whats-all-the-buzz-about-bee-pollen-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>). On a side note, I try not to be too hard on my stomach by adding lukewarm water to my smoothie thus sparing it the effort of bringing the food up to body temperature. This happens every time you eat something, making it essential to break down the food properly beforehand. And finally, as usual, please feel free to tinker around with the ingredients and adjust to your taste and tolerance level.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1 medium banana (about 120 grams)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 avocado<\/li>\n<li>2 tbs ground tiger nut or nut butter of your choice<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp golden flaxseeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp fresh ginger<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp fresh <a title=\"Abenteuer gluten frei Teil III: Fructose freie Energiebooster\" href=\"https:\/\/fructopia.de\/en\/going-gluten-free-iii-fructose-free-superfoods\/\">turmeric<\/a><\/li>\n<li>pinch of cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp nettle seeds*<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp <a title=\"Going gluten free Part III: My new favorite superfoods \/\/ Abenteuer gluten-frei Teil III: Noch wertvoller ern\u00e4hren mit diesen acht\u00a0Energieboostern\" href=\"https:\/\/fructopia.de\/going-gluten-free-iii-fructose-free-superfoods\/\">bee pollen<\/a>*<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">enough water (see note above), until your preferred consistency is reached<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Put all ingredients except water in a blender and blend until smooth, about 10 seconds. Slowly add water, pulse, repeat until preferred consistency is reached. I added about 5 oz (150 ml), which results in a very creamy smoothie. Pour into a glass and enjoy. Jeder hat seine ganz eigene Vorstellung von dem, was einen perfekten Start in den Tag ausmacht. Die Optionen sind schier endlos, angefangen bei warm oder kalt, \u00fcber s\u00fc\u00df oder salzig und trink- oder kaubar, bis zu \u00fcberhaupt gar nichts. Seit der Diagnose meiner FM ist das t\u00e4gliche Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck unerl\u00e4sslich geworden. Es ist eine M\u00f6glichkeit f\u00fcr mich den Tag ruhig anzugehen und meinen Magen am Morgen erstmal zu verw\u00f6hnen, damit es nicht allzu schwer ins Gewicht f\u00e4llt, falls im Laufe des Tages doch mal etwas Falsches daher kommt. Wann immer mein Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck aus Zeitnot ausf\u00e4llt ist der Tag quasi schon gelaufen. Dann wird s\u00e4mtliches Denken und Handeln von dem einzigen Gedanken, wo um Himmels Willen ich denn nun etwas Vertr\u00e4gliches zu Essen auftreiben kann, bestimmt. Und ihr werdet aus eigener Erfahrung wissen, dass die Wahrscheinlichkeit unterwegs etwas Brauchbares zu finden dazu stark gegen Null strebt. Deshalb ist das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck zum integralen Bestandteil meiner allt\u00e4glichen Morgenroutine geworden. Da die Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksoptionen f\u00fcr uns FM\u2019ler, nennen wir es, ein wenig eingeschr\u00e4nkt sind, erscheint es nur logisch bei einem Gericht zu bleiben, wenn man erstmal etwas gefunden hat, was man vertr\u00e4gt. Da ich grunds\u00e4tzlich und immer friere, habe ich schnell einen Narren an jeglicher Variante warmen Haferflockenbreis gefressen, der mich morgens von innen heraus aufw\u00e4rmt. Doch ab und zu kommen mir eben doch Gel\u00fcste nach etwas Abwechslung. Au\u00dferdem hab ich das Gef\u00fchl, dass Magen und Verdauung recht tr\u00e4ge werden, durch den t\u00e4glichen Einheitsbrei.
